We strive to create a healthy and safe working environment for our employees. This includes
- potential hazards and risk factors in the workplace are identified
- the staff is trained for emergency situations
- every employee is informed and trained about the current laws on health and environmental protection and about the safety standards and safety measures or can participate in external training courses
- Operating instructions for hazardous machines, processes and substances are available
- each employee receives his or her necessary personal protective equipment.
We strive to improve our activities, processes and working environment. We create the conditions for a continuous improvement process by setting consistent targets and monitoring the achievement of these targets. Each individual employee shares responsibility in the effort to create safe working conditions.
Climate-friendly business activities are a core component of ecological sustainability and responsible corporate governance and therefore an important part of the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. Ecogreen Oleochemicals and thus DHW GmbH Rodleben successfully participated in the assessment by Ecovadis. The bronze medal was awarded for 2023.
Our commitment to continuous improvement, the conservation of natural resources in all areas and the responsible use of natural resources is part of our corporate strategy. In order to better present this to the outside world, we are committed to the global "Responsible Care" initiative, have had our management system assessed in accordance with the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) and have received ISO 14001 certification.
We want to promote a sense of responsibility for the environment among our employees at all levels and maintain an open, objective dialog with our customers, the authorities and the public, thereby contributing to mutual understanding.
It is the common task of all employees to use energy and raw materials rationally, to avoid waste and environmental pollution and to minimize harmful influences.
Since 2020, greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and 2) have been assessed in relation to total production and individual plants. A sustainability report for the entire Ecogreen Oleochemicals Group is available annually.
